Taking the first step to improve your child’s mental health can seem daunting and stressful. However, their mental wellbeing is the most valuable thing in their life. Prioritizing their emotions, self-esteem, and ability to manage daily stressors can improve every aspect of their lives today and in the future.
I specialize in working individually with children and adolescents ages 5-17.
Individual Counseling
Your child deserves a space to safely and freely speak their mind without judgment or fear. Dedicating some time to process emotions and experiences can strengthen your child’s self-worth. The initial Diagnostic Intake session is 60 minutes and depending on the client’s comfort level and preference, parent(s)/guardian(s) are welcome to join. Follow-up sessions are 50 minutes and are one-on-one with the client unless specified otherwise.
Family sessions are formulated to address each family’s unique treatment plan.
Family Counseling
We may not choose our families, but we get to choose how we communicate and interact with them. Building trust can help strengthen our family bonds, improving how we live our interconnected lives. Family sessions can be implemented into a treatment plan for any individual client or can be the primary focus for your family. Parent sessions regarding a primary client are also available. The length of a session varies depending on its purpose and who is present.
No active groups currently. Depending on the level of demand, group topics include social skills, anxiety management, and academic organization.
Group Counseling
More often than not, we ususally have more in common with people than we would assume. Group counseling is a handy tool that provides individuals with a confidential space to share their experiences without judgment. We can gain insight from others and bond over commonly felt emotions when we open up. Recognizing that we are never alone is so powerful.
